Casting sessions in my studio or in the comfort of your home.
Life casting is about creating a memory and freezing that moment in time. It is enjoyable and fun and I ensure you will feel relaxed and comfortable for the entire appointment.
You may wonder how babies will keep still, the truth is, they don't need to be entirely still.
While I recommend breast/bottle feeding, I am also happy to distract by singing (badly!!) or playing peek-a-boo to keep babies happy.
Each cast sets in around a minute, so the whole process is quick and painless.
The same goes for dogs, they are welcome in my home and receive a lot of attention so usually find the experience a pleasure. I do ask for owners help to keep their pets calm and reassured during their casting and have found that a few treats are all the distraction they need!
We can discuss finishing options on the day, including colours, layout and wording. Every cast is unique and I love creating one off pieces.
All casts are completed in date order and are usually ready for collection in 8-10 weeks.
This is mainly due to drying times.
How it Works
Casting is unique and often a limited-time opportunity, so it's important to enjoy it, feel comfortable and end up with something you love.
Here is what to expect....
Step 01
Contact Lara to make the booking.
Either at the Bristol based studio or at an agreed location.
A 50% deposit is required to make the booking.
Step 02
The skin-safe mould will be physically taken on the day in a fun, relaxed and respectful manner.
Step 03
Discuss the variety of designs and colours to make your piece unique to you.
Anything is possible!
Step 04
Leave the casts with Lara to dry and finish for around 8-10 weeks.
